ToSelf (“we”, “the Service”) respects and protects user privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have.

- Account info: Your email address when you sign up.
- Assessment data: Your answers to MBTI, Big Five and other psychological inventories, plus the resulting portrait.
- Mood check-ins: The mood level, energy, emotion tags, triggers, and optional free text you log.
- Usage data: Visit time, device type, page paths — anonymous statistics used to improve the product.
2. How we use it
- To generate your personalized portrait and monthly reports.
- To send service emails (account confirmation, important updates).
- To analyze overall usage and improve features.
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
- We don't share your emotional or psychological data with advertisers.
- We don't build a social graph from your moods or disclose your portrait externally.
4. Storage & security
- Data is stored on industry-standard cloud providers (Supabase / Vercel).
- HTTPS in transit; sensitive data encrypted at rest.
- Standard session-based authentication; passwords are never stored in plain text.
5. Your rights
- View: Access all saved data via “My portrait”.
- Export: Email hi@toself.app to request a full data export.
- Delete: Delete your account anytime from settings; all related data will be removed.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and browser localStorage to remember your language preference, login state, and pre-login mood entries. You can clear them anytime via browser settings.
7. Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and data storage.
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
Both comply with GDPR and other major privacy frameworks.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
